Briana | 6 Months

I got to spend another afternoon with Miss Briana! I love getting to photograph her every three months! It is amazing how much kiddos grow and change in such a short amount of time. This session was by far the hardest for Mommy and me! Lots of funny noises, ridiculous dancing, and overall silliness to get this little peanut to smile. She wasn’t having it! I think she probably thought we were a bunch of lunatics! Either way we were entertaining! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.

The Jones Family | Ann Arbor Family Session

Have I mentioned before how much I love photographing returning clients? It is always so much fun to catch up with a family that you have had a connection with in the past. The first time I met the Jones Family it was back when they were a family of 4. Actually, I found out that they were really already 5 when I photographed them but they didn’t even know it at the time! Anyways, it has been a couple of years and I was so excited when Kori contacted me to meet up again. I can’t believe how much Mason and Maddi have grown! Meeting little Miss Ava was an absolute joy. It was fun to catch up on the last two years and have a chance to capture them as a family of 5! These kiddos really love each other. It was so fun to watch them interact together! Here are a few of my favorites from our session together.

Payten & Rylee (with a side of mom and dad)

I nearly fell over when I saw how much these two little girls have grown! It has only been 6 months since I last saw them! Every reason family pictures on a regular basis are so important. I know I always use to smile and kinda laugh at people when they would tell me that I needed to enjoy them now because my boys would grow up so quickly. In the back of my head I would often think “well they can’t get out of this stage fast enough” (you remember the waking up multiple times at night, the temper tantrums in the middle of the store, or the constant asking why). Well, everyone was right. I now joke with the boys that I won’t let them have another birthday because I can’t believe that they are almost 6 and 8 already! Time sure does fly by and I am always reminded of that when I photograph other families. I remember the cute and chubby rolls on a 6 month old and the wild and independent determination of a 3 year old. They do grow up quickly and we forget. I hope that is not the case for the Fox family. I hope our sessions together help to capture these moments in life that in a few years will seem distant and will be missed. I have enjoyed capturing this family as they anticipated the arrival of Rylee, as they welcomed her into the family and now 6 months later when she is beginning to place her impression on the family dynamic. I can’t wait to see them again in October! For now, hold on to these times Ryan and Tera!
