I had the pleasure of meeting up with Abby a few weeks ago to capture her senior pictures. It was a chilly, windy winter day but we made the best of it. Abby’s session has been one of only a couple that snow has actually been present. Here are a few of my favorites!

It was such an honor to spend the afternoon with Jessica and capture her senior pictures for her. From the moment I met her I knew there was something I really liked about her, something that set her apart from others. As we ventured around Angola I was able to hear Jessica’s amazing story. She is a young woman who has met more in her life then most people twice her age. Yet through it all she has remained positive, continued smiling and loving those around her. She is an amazing young woman with a good head on her shoulders. I only wish the absolute best for her over this ending of her senior year and adventure into whatever meets her along the path.

I think Thalia and Juan win the award for being photographed on the coldest day of the year. Despite several layers and gloves I was chilled to the bone after this session. Even with the chilly temperature and the whipping wind these two held up well. We were able to hit a few hot spots around Coldwater and captured some great images of Thalia and Juan. Enjoy!

I always love meeting and getting to know the seniors I photograph. They are at such a monumental moment in their lives and I love being able to share it with them and capture it for them. When I meet with seniors I try and find locations and props that will make their session unique to them and different from the other seniors I photograph. I know I could go to the same locations and set up the same poses, but that doesn’t tell a part of their story. Instead we talk about what the past four years have been like, what they are passionate about and where they are looking to head next. We then together determine places, outfits and props. Palin knew right away that she wanted to be photographed at Tibbits. Tibbits Opera House has always been a special place for Palin, who has found herself on stage on several occasions. Palin is also involved and band at Quincy and we wanted to incorporate that. I think we did a pretty good job of capturing a moment of her story! Enjoy!
